Some of the best trails and views are to be found hiking through the Cuyamaca's. Even years later after the fires you can enjoy this region of California. Their are many trails for all sorts of hikers and ages.

Just about a 45 Minute Drive out of Downtown San Diego the Cuyamaca Mountains is an easy getaway! The scenic drives and the lake Cuyamaca offers so much to see. Stop by Near by Julian and drive down to the Anza Borrego Desert too!

Quiet and beautiful Lake for fishing or a picnic. Beautiful scenery and a bike trail that circles the lake. Good hiking also. There is a restaurant (you can buy fishing permit and bail there also.)

It is very winding, but no scary drop off like shoulders.
