Picnic tables, lawns and beautiful shade trees to eat under. Tasting room is a little small and can use a little face lift.

One of the pioneers of the Lake County wine scene, Steele may show its age on the outside, but the wines are well worth a visit. The Writer's Block line are particularly good values.

Loved our tasting experience at Steele. The different lines provided various price point options and styles of wine. The tasting offered examples from all the lines. We had a lovely time and would recommend it for trying wines bit off the beaten path.

Again, very friendly staff begins the wine tasting on a good note. The white wines seemed the popular among our group. Yet, I preferred the cab. This is a good place to start wine tasting.

We were welcomed and invited to taste the wines. We stopped here because we already love many of the wines sold under the label Writer's Block. Sampling some of the other varieties that we had not had before as well as some of the Steele labels that we're not familiar with. Raven was very friendly and helpful. A great stop... More

Beautiful tasting room and very friendly staff. High quality wines-- mostly Lake County vineyards.... Several Pinot Noirs from Central Calif vineyards- all great with distinctive qualities. My favorite wine is the Petite Sirah.... Barbera is good but a bit lite. Pricing is very fair- club price is outstanding! Don't miss this place.

Gorgeous country offers this cute winery. Nice people and dogs running around. Young dark haired guy (forgot his name) helped us and was very knowledgeable about the wines. They were very interested in where we are from and finding out about out tastes in wine. Fell in love with the Aligote and the Port, had to take them home!!
