A Wonderful Birthday Suprise

On a recent visit to Sonoma to visit some friends we stopped by for a tasting and let me tell you, the reserve tasting also more expensive is the way to go. The regular tasting was lack luster. Really the hero of the visit was their luscious cinq. Overall nice ambience but that tasting rooms were very loud and crowded.... More

My beautiful wife took me to Sonoma for my 40th birthday. She knew that the Cinq Cepages blends from Chateau St. Jean from the late 90s to early 2000s were the wines that made me fall in love with wine. So, she planned a surprise visit to Chateau St. Jean for me, with a private vertical tasting of Cinq Cepages.... More

We visit Chateau St. John as our first winery in Sonoma County. It was very uninspiring. The grounds are beautiful. We tasted the reserve tasting wines. The building was beautiful and overlooked the Vineyard, however the server was very unattentive and disinterested. With each pour we had to ask him to describe the wine for us. Certainly not worth the... More

I just love knowledgeable people. Sincerely, the wine was great! The knowledge of their plants and grapes, off the charts. Great place to visit and sample. Please do visit and check them out!

Chateau St. Jean is a very beautiful winery with truly palace-like grounds. We went here for a slightly more expensive “reserve” tasting, which is held in a lounge overlooking the vineyard.

We have enjoyed wonderful tastings all over Napa and Sonoma but not here. The buildings and garden are beautiful but the way the people behaved was unfriendly and unhelpful.

The winery is beautiful, you can have a picnic there. The wines are really good specially the "cinq cepages". It's a good wine and it's not that expensive. You can take a tour of the winery. I think they also rent it for events like weddings ans such. If you are planning to go to Sonoma, you must come here... More
