For each person is JPY 4100, I will suggest everyone to buy the shuttle bus ticket (which will take you from train station (亀岡駅) to boat station). It is very nice experience, even there was no cherry flower when I took the boat, but the view was also very good and beautiful. The staffs were very nice and they explained... More

We went on this trip when it was rainy and overclouded. Despite this it was really good fun because of the scenery you pass through, the bumpy journey of the the boat and the lively atmosphere created by the boatmen. The boat is covered so we easilly stayed warm and dry. Unlike the romantic train it runs through the winter... More

This was awesome! It certinaly isn't class 4 rapids in any way, but it was a great experience. Nice and relaxing with some little rapids that gave you a little thrill. We went with our little ones, ages 1 and 3, and they loved it. It takes about an hour or so, and they were never bored and whiny. We... More

Thoroughly enjoyed this river cruise. Passengers were all Japanese, except us. Boatmen entertained with stories & jokes, all in japanese. We dont't understand the language but the happy laughter was music to our ears literally. Beautiful peaceful scenery. After plenty photos at the bamboo forest, we hopped onto the Sagano romantic train, which is totally unromantic, but offers good scenic... More

We stop at kameoka station and walk about 10min to the ticket counter. Just go straight and the building is on your right, you must be at least 15min before the departure. We missed the 10am (5min late) ride so have to wait for 11am ride,at 10.30-10.40am they will call for your ride. The scenery is amazing beautiful,we also see monkey.... More

We were in Arishiyama for the day and decided to jump back on the JR train up to Kameoka. There we walked 10 mins and purchased our tickets for the boat tour. The cost is ¥41000 per adult for about a 2 hour ride. We had a 1 year old and a stroller and the had space on the boat... More

Decided to start my visit to Arashiyama doing this first and was really pleased that I did. It was a refreshing way to begin the day after being "templed out" the day before. My visit here was in the early part of October. The surroundings were green and beautiful. The waters of the river was crystal clear and the chance to enjoy... More

It was a fun ride. Amazing autumn foliage view on both sides of the river. It took more than 1 hour to complete the ride. Even though it was raining and freezing cold, it was still worth the trip. Thumb up. The boating staff worked hard to make the ride a safe and fun trip.

I did this 13 years ago and went again this time with my family. The boat pier is now a Concrete building. But the boat ride goes through the same stunning scenery and clean water. It's like gentle white water rafting with the ducks, cormorants, and other users on the river along the way. It takes about two hours but... More

They use small boats that seat no more than 20 people but they didn't provide any shade or roof during the two hour boat ride. You can get sun tanned or sun burnt if the sun is strong, even in October. I didn't enjoy it.
