It's usally kept clean, a great place for family, swimming, has its own boadwalk with good parking. Public bathrooms available. Believe it or not- this place can handle big waves too. Take a walk down the beach to Scripps Pier. Its worth checking out.

Clean quiet and accessible. Went for a walk after a late lunch. Plenty of access points and seating along with facilities.

We walked all around the town from park to shore. We saw the mother seals and pups. The maternal instinct of the seals was amazing. Several pups at different times decided they wanted to go into the water. The moms watched and as the pups...More

Great Sandy beach area with parking seemingly decent, and free. Lots of families here and several surfers. If you want a swimming beach, this is the place.

Great place to just relax and watch the ocean and look for whales. Plenty of park benches and sidewalks. Go early to find parking.

I went to La Jolla for the day and I enjoyed it very much. The seafront park is beautiful! You can see sea lions and seals, seagulls and pelicans. It's just amazing!

My fav spot. For a walk and sunsets. You can spend a whole day and sit by the fire at the evening. There is a parking so no worries about where to park. Many surfers, divers, beach goers.
