It was a lot of people there, a place where children were playing with balls, youth listened to music, people was reading the list over people who had died during battles . It was a 360 grades view

See all of San Diego and some of Mexico from the top of Mt. Soledad. A beautiful drive up and then views of the Pacific Ocean to the Catalinas off of Mexico.

We spent a couple hours here walking the grounds and watching ships in the bay. The vistas are beautiful and grounds well maintained. You can also drive down to the beach .

The memorial is very nicely done with plaques for our military. There is a docent on site to answer questions. And the 360 view of the area is spectacular! We went on our way to La Jolla.

Every soldier is memorialized with actual photos on the marble walls. I have seen a lot of memorials, but never like this one! Worth the drive up the mountain!

Great spot for the view, free adventure, can drive, bike or hike to the top. Great views, and some history to learn as well

Visited with the kids after asking them where the best view was. This place was high and beautiful. Great place for sweeping panoramas and on a clear night you can see for miles.

I enjoyed Mount Soledad for the views it provides. You can go up and take a look from every direction and see something interesting. Our day was beautiful and it really was neat to see, plus the drive up is also nice seeing a lot...More

What a wonderful view of San Diego! Plus, it has an armed services memorial there. We enjoyed the drive up and back!

Wonderful view of the entire San Diego region. You can see all the way to Mexico, see the Mission Bay, downtown, UCSD, ... The view is breathtaking. There is also a great soldier memorial. Highly recommended.

The slope up is pretty gentle and yes, it is accessible from all 360 degrees, however there are stairs to get to the foot of the cross itself. You wont be disappointed tho, its breathtaking
