Very disappointing kayaking tour. Our guides didn't tell us that we weren't going to be going through the caves. We also didn't see much wild life. The tot wasn't even two hours. When we shared our disatisfaction with the company we were told we would...More

Hike Bike Kayak is a great outfit. Did the Kayak cave tour and it exceeded our hopes. Guides are fun and very informative. Exertion and skill level requirements are low. Took a dip in the ocean to cool off and easily climbed back on Kayak....More

The Kayak tour was amazing! Family of four with 2 young kids (6 and 8 years) made it through the Caves and had an incredible experience. Our guides did a great job at keeping us informed throughout the journey - since we left the store...More

We were grateful we'd scheduled the 9 am tour since parking is congested later in the day. We also had the benefit of high tide so the navigable cave was more accessible. Lily and Spencer entertained, educated and kept us safe for 2 hours. Great...More

Toured the La Jolla Bay on August 4th with Hike Bike Kayak. The tour took us out to the caves. We were able to see seals/sea lions in the area as well as inside one of the caves with our tour guide. Overall, a great...More

Awesome guides Alex and Nick! In the beginning I thought it was going to be a waste and just a downhill glide from our drop-off spot at Mt. Soledad but then we stepped it up through neighborhoods, down to the shifting sand beach, rounding to...More

Chip and Trevor, out guides, were very good. They were competent and kept all the kayaks in a group and safe. They were knowledgeable of the area, caves and geology. This activity in this area is a bit commercialized and there were many kayak companies...More

HBK is a great outfit, running a great tour, to a great location. The La Jolla sea caves are quickly visited but the paddle to get there is beautiful with great views of the surrounding coast and guides that make the ride fun, cracking jokes...More

Bike from the top of Mt. Soledad along the Pacific Coast. Beautiful vistas and intimate view of your surroundings including the sea lions. You will even get to go down into a cave (144 steps down). The actual bike ride us approximately ten plus miles....More

Booked a Kayaking tour the day before of La Jolla Caves. Unfortunately the water was a little choppy and we couldn't go into the caves and we saw no seals but still quite enjoyable. We saw dolphins and learned quite a bit about La Jolla....More

It took less than 3 hours from the time we got there to the time we were done. However, there was only two of us on the tour when we went. It was fun and we got to see a lot of La Jolla.

It's been a while since we were there so I don't remember now. We were out in the water for maybe 1.5-2 hours and the actual time in the cave was only 3-5 minutes or so... just enough time for them to take us in and pull us... More

For kayaking, I think low ride is the best for getting close to the caves. The time of this varies by day. I suggest calling and asking the kayak place, and they will be the experts on this.
