We recently called in on a Sunday morning for coffee. It's an unusual place that is well off the beaten track so you'd sort of expect that they'd really give you a warm welcome. I wouldn't rate it as luke warm. They were not busy with one other table of five that had already been served their coffee. The staff... More

We went to Chenrezig Institute to have a look around as it was a first time visit for myself and my boyfriend. We were pleasantly surprised with the landscapes and surrounds but were most impressed with the meal. We were served a variety of curries and a small salad, it was delicious. It's often hard to get decent vegetarian food... More

Where do I start with this magical place? I have been coming here for 13 years now and first stayed as a live in volunteer for 3 months in 2016. Even after all that time not a lot has changed (which is a really good thing) though the wonderful Garden of Englighenment has since been completed. There are not many... More

The Big Love Cafe has the best vegetarian food I have had. I was here for 10 days and ate at the cafe at lunch time for 7 days. There was something different every day and as I am new to Vegetarianism it was wonderful. The different gluten free cakes every day were delicious as is their coffee... latte cappuccino... More

Chenrezig is my sanctuary when I need to retreat and recharge. I've stayed here many times and appreciate the simple but adequate rooms, the sense of peace, and that I can elect to integrate into the community as much or as little as I want. I enjoy the food and chai tea at the cafe and going for strolls down... More

The steps up to the reception made me aware of how much muscle I had lost. The retreat on Suffering made me aware of how much I still have. The Big Love Café served a meal on what my body was craving. The clean simple room (motel) made me aware of everything in Australia of which to be thankful.

Not sure why I went here but glad I did nice drive in up Highlands Road good honey and dragon fruit by the roadside rough road in but worth the effort. The best part was the trees lots of unusual ones all mature and magnificent. Not much information when we went but most of it spoke for itself pretty well.... More

We went up there for the afternoon to have lunch and felt that we needed some place to be grounded and at peace for the day. Peaceful it was not? We like basic vegetarian food and love The Loving hut ,Govindas and Gopals . We found the food at the cafe was made with very little love. The People were... More
