An artificial, but nevertheless, OK place. A strange collection of businesses that try to make believe they're a village. Worth a look.

Although the selection of shops and stores in this mission-themed shopping village should probably not be compared to the more opulent establishments a few miles up Highway 111, the Old Town La Quinta certainly has a charm of its own. If you are in the area, this place is certainly worth a visit!

Old town is a small shopping center whose parking lot is full of aggressive day laborers. Spooky place, avoid.

Old Town is a wonderful destination to spend your afternoon or evening. In addition to the unique shops and restaurants, you might time it right for one of their "Art Under the Umbrella" events, that take place on select Saturday afternoons. This is a lovely way to spend an afternoon browsing local art, while listing to local musicians. Check out... More

This "old town" is actually fairly new, made to look old--but has several nice informal restaurants with inside and outside seating (dogs are allowed outside), bars and an ice cream shop, plus olive oil tasting, a couple of art galleries, salons and bike rental spot.

Stopped by on a late Sunday afternoon, so some of the shops were closed but the ones I was able to visit were cute. My husband and I also stopped into the La Quinta Brewery that's there for a quick pint and really enjoyed it!

Old Town La Quinta is actually only 8 square blocks of beautiful Spanish motif buildings. Within the area are restaurants and galleries. It's a great place to walk around about sunset. There was a street art fair the day we visited.

Enjoyed visiting this area. The shops and restaurants were varied and interesting. Hearing that this "Old Town" is less than 10 years old was pretty amazing to us. Great Place to visit!

Cutest little town with great restaurants galleries and shops. My favorite is the new Osterberg gallery opening Nov 1. Whimsical art, I love it.
