Stopped in here with my daughter in February of 2017 while in town. My daughter is interested in an animal care career, and this small center was an easy, quick opportunity to get a look at what this type of mammal rescue is really like. The location is small, and you can easily see everything in 30 minutes. However, if... More

We went here as we were heading home from a weekend at laguna beach. The employees here were so sweet and even brought us a clipboard of the animals with their names, where they were found, and their weight stats, etc. The pups were so darling and hilarious to watch! There were a lot of interactive displays for the children... More

Please give a donation or buy some stuff from the gift shop, they do important work here. They were more than willing to talk about the animals and the threats to their habitats. Emily was super friendly and knowledgeable.

This was my 2nd time here and I will take a moment to stop in if I get the chance. Its a 45 min visit. The volunteers are awesome and give them a chance to tell you what they do and listen. It's so cool to hear them share what they know and their experiences. A great organization. This is... More

On my first visit I was impressed. Not only do they have a nice viewing area for guests to learn about and see the seals they have rescued, but they have friendly and knowledgeable volunteers ready to answer any questions you may have about what they do, how they do it, and you can see the handlers working with the... benefits: free admission, probably on your way to or from somewhere nearby, easy access right off the main road, very friendly and enthusiastic staff. downsides: not much to see at all. just a few cages where they are rehabbing the animals. they said that during high season (spring) they have over 100 animals there, mainly seals. when we were there... I suggest you visit. Lots of info given and see up close sea lions and seals. Get behind the scene look at how these precious mammals are being rescued, treated and released. God bless the volunteers and staff there. They are all so wonderdul.

This organization rescues and rehabilitates marine mammals and is not a zoo or tourist attraction. There is no entry fee but we made a donation. Our guide was a very nice volunteer with lots of good information.

We had a lot of fun learning about the different mammals brought into pmmc. You can see the animals in the different pools and they are funny to watch!
