This entrance to Yosemite is breathtaking in every sense of the word, I live around 4000ft and laugh when people say that the drop off of our Gorge are really high, this made me put that into prospective. I will admit I got a little nervous driving the pass, once the nerves calmed a bit I took in some of... More

This is the main road into Yosemite and over the Sierras and has quite beautiful views. You need to realize though that the road is closed in the winter due to snow.

Everything is beautiful, lakes, rivers, mountains, a little bit of snow. The best views are doing trails. The cons, rain. After walking 10 Km it started to rain, we went walking to the car the 10 Km and the clothes were not rainwear, so that was not funny, jaja.

Must travel this highway! Drove it to Yosemite! Many pull offs for pictures and breath taking views. Don't get in a hurry, very high drop offs!

Tioga road is not open all year round. Sometimes there are landslides that cause this road to be closed and when there is snow, they close the road down. Be prepared to make many stop overs for pictures when you pass this road. Amazing amazing amazing!

We arrived in Lee Vining in cloud and rain, and were concerned the either the Tioga Pass road would be closed, or so socked in that we wouldn't be able to see anything. However, the next day we awoke to perfect skies and crystal clear views throughout. The climb from the east is spectacular, then from Tenaya Lake down towards... More

I think this was the fa v or items part of the trip. The road is beautiful. There was actually snow on the mountain tops and some plowed snow along the upper portionof the road. Being a beautiful sunny day made it all breathtaking. They're were streams and creeks among the forest and meadows also. Many places to park and... More

The Tioga Road Pass is a well paved road and is an easy drive from the East side of Yosemite to reach the West side of the park. This road is closed in the winter. Beautiful country and the highest elevations in Yosemite.

Went on a photo shoot with some friends and entered the Tiago Road from the North. The foliage was at its peak and had great color inside the park. Still more to photograph will return again.

I suspect a very high percentage of the visitors to Yosemite Valley have no idea that this road exists and how beautiful it is. We were surprised at its length which shows actually how big the National Park is. Wonderful drive with amazing views - we drove East to West.
