La Purisma is one of the historical mission in California. There are hiking trails all over the part for families and seasoned hikers. A great family place.

A pretty trail and historically interesting place. Quite and peaceful, lush and green. Neat information about the origin of the local missions and history of the local area.

Most Missions are in a stage of "arrested decay". This one was nearly rebuilt from scratch but using the original methods and materials, making it a rewarding and worthwhile half-day visit.

This is the most restored of all the 21 missions. It's a hidden jewel located on almost 2,000 acres. The buildings are open and free to the public. There's a fee for parking. There are animals of the breeds the mission would have had in...More
