The Long Beach Waterfront is an amazing place to spend a relaxed day. Perhaps the best way to discover the waterfront is by taking a stroll or a bicycle ride on the boardwalk – the Rainbow Harbour Esplanade, starting from Shoreline Village.

I would consider what you want to see and how mobile your traveling group is. If it is the Queen Mary park on that side. If you want to see the little lighthouse and eat at a restaurant and see the shops I would park on the street and then walk to each direction. To park at the shops and walk past the restaurants and over the light house area across from Queen Mary took a leisurely 30 minutes. Some street people along the path that would approach you but not threatening. In that 30 minutes 2 police patrol vehicles passed by on the sidewalk to round on the area.
