After a relatively short hike up the muddy trails I was greeted with stunning views. I can’t wait to explore the rest of the park.

When we went there both telescopes were under construction however we still had a great time. The whole Los Angeles in under your feet. It is especially special at nights, with the city lights. But in day time, you can see the Hollywood sign.

Paid parking is all along the road $8 as well as in a good-sized lot right next to the Observatory less than 50 yards from the entrance.

The Hollywood sign is fenced off a good distance from the sign. It is a Trespassing offense to go to the sign. There are some good spots in the main tourist areas for viewing the sign.
