Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.

Cool building but you can't go upstairs or too far inside the on the first floor either. The architecture is beautiful! Do you need to come here....not really, but if you are in the area going somewhere else and have time, it's a very quick stop. I came on purpose and was let down because I couldn't do much.

Nice quick stop to appreciate old architecture. Located in a bad area of LA though so be a bit more careful here, though parking is nearby so not too dangerous

Cool architecture in historic downtown building. We entered from the north door. We could visit the lobby area only. The midday light made the skylight fabulous. If you like Blade Runner, you must visit this building, which is now an office building. We took many photos with our phones. Cameras are not allowed. It is worth a short visit and is totally free.

Beautiful Victorian interior atrium space. It's a working office building so you cannot take the open cage elevators up - just admire the architecture.

If you loved Blade Runner, you have to take a peak at the lobby of this extraordinary building. It is a working office building, so you can't ride the classic elevators. But you are allowed to gawk at the lobby and admire the unlikely architecture.

Building opens at 9:00. You’re not permitted to go upstairs but you can view the building from the ground level. It’s definitely a fine display of architecture. I recommend stopping by to take a peek if you’re going to the Grand Central Market, which is across the street.

Stop in and see this beautiful building! It will take you all of 5 minutes but it is worth it. From the outside, you would never think twice about entering but it is worth a peek.

If you like Blade Runner, you must see the Bradbury building. It was still closed when we were there. I looked through the window on the door and took a few photos. I will have to return when it is open. There are some posters in front of the building about Blade Runner and the history of the building. They need to be refurbished as they are in disrepair. Across the street is the Grand Central Market.

Turns out it is "closed to the public" (Sign on entrance, no other info), seen today 3/10/22, peeking through the window it looks like it would be a treat to enter...

Are visitors allowed to visit the upper floors? I’d like to take some photos (related to Blade Runner)

Is there parking near by?

There is a parking lot right across the street that I think has something like a $10 or $12 flat rate. If you are traveling West on 3rd just West of Spring, between Spring and Broadway, the parking lot is right there on the right-hand side. You will be directly across the street from the Bradbury and less than a half block from Grand Central Market if you park there.

Does it cost money to go inside?

No, the entrance that we went in was right off Broadway and was free. Nearby is the Central Market which is also a must see. The Biltmore hotel with beautiful lobby is also about 4 blocks away. We took a Metro bus to the area.
