It's a huge library but it's a lot more. There are lectures and events all the time, there is plenty of parking and a visit to the building alone is worth the trip

Great building to walk around to see the chandeliers and wall paintings. Atrium always has interesting displays. Peaceful place to take a break from downtown.

This library is literally between massive building in downtown LA. It looks like it doesn't belong there and the city was build around it. Oh wait, it was....

There are beautiful features to admire as you approach this majestic building, including fountains and other architectural details. Inside, you discover that it is much larger than you thought it was. In the elevator, the walls are covered with old card catalog cards.

Built in the early 20th Century, the interiors are magnificent and so well preserved. The library is huge with different levels and even has a children's library. With so many new buildings, Los Angeles will forever preserve this part of its early history.

I did a scavenger hunt around the library and the local neighborhood. The library is beautiful and has a lot of history. It's worth a quick stop.
