Very knowledgable and entertaining guide! With a mixture of story telling, prerecorded audio and photographs we were taken on a journey through the darker side of Hollywood history. Highly recommendable!

I have been wanting to take a tour with Dearly Departed ever since the company was called Graveline. I took the Helter Skelter and Carpentour Tours and had blast. Scott is more then tour guide he is an historian. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter. Scott goes beyond the headlines and delves into the finer details... More

I'd been waiting to do this tour for a few years and it was worth the wait! Scott is an excellent source on all things Manson and I learned so many things I had never heard before. Highly recommended.

Very quirky but a fun thing to do. Great for a rainy day. Not good for children - too graphic. Tour guide was knowledgable and friendly.

I wanted to go on this tour for years, and not only did it not disappoint it exceeded all my expectations. This is the difference between someone passionate and in love with their work and somebody just capable. Scott is not only the most knowledgeable person on the subject but his story behind the headlines and behind the book Helter Skelter... More

From the moment we stepped into the Dearly Departed Museum, we knew this was going to be fun! It was just as well we were early, as we had plenty of time to view all the macabre artefacts, arranged over two floors. Brian, our Tour Guide, arrived to pick us up and from there on we were treated to almost... More

You first go in the shop and there is some of the most Awesome artifacts I've ever seen I'm glad we got there a half hour early. Then we found out that Terry Bolo worked there (she was in Pee Wee's Big Adventure and Carrie) so we got to see a celebrity. Our tour guide Brian was great I found... More

This tour is amazing! If you are into Hollywood history paired with a bit of the macabre, this is for you. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable with tons of stories of Hollywood stars from every era. We were able to visit the cemetery that Marilyn Monroe is buried, with countless other stars and even provided with a map to... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
