The LA Fashion District is a 100 block district in downtown Los Angeles and is the hub of the West Coast apparel industry. It caters to the wholesale and retail communities, with apparel and accessories for the entire family, textiles, flowers, live/work lofts, and restaurants. It is home to Santee Alley, an outdoor shopping bazaar, and notable showrooms such as the California Market Center, Cooper Building, New Mart where annual LA Fashion Markets, LA Fashion Week, and other industry related tradeshows happen. Art is omnipresent in the LA Fashion District and as part of downtown's Gallery Row, the Fashion District is home to several art galleries that hos an eclectic mix of artists throughout the year, including the monthly Art Walk.

Blocks and blocks of shopping in downtown LA. Can pretty much find anything you could need for super cheap! Nothing high end about this area but it was a cool experience with tons of people everywhere. Must try the street food from the food carts...More

Went with my cousin to shop around. Always cheap deals. Don't expect anything fancy. Just like a big outdoor flea market.

An old part of downtown, full of old office buildings and warehouses, many of which have been and are being turned into apartments. Some good architecture. Place to shop for bargains.

From what I could find out, San Pedro Mart is open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is closed on Sundays. Checkout the website on LA Shopping District: fashiondistrict... More
