Neighbourhood: Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.

We took a self-guided tour of this beautiful concert hall. You can scan the audio tour, narrated by John Lithgow, on your phone. It takes about an hour and there were docents posted throughout the concert hall to guide you around. The only disappointment to us is we were not allowed to look into the actual concert hall. Still, the tour is very interesting. There is a nice gift shop and restrooms.

It is situated next door to The Broad, so whilst visiting we popped down to see this architectural beauty. She is stunning and wanted to note we go inside but was glad we saw it up close and personal.

We walked around for while and saw literally nothing. There are no features of interest inside, just hallways with carpet and some elevators.

The garden was fine, but nothing unique. It had a fountain, but again, just a fountain.

The outside of the building looks cool. Save yourself the trouble of going inside. And yes, we did get to see inside the concert hall, but again, it was absolutely boring as well.

The employee watching over the concert hall offered to let us take a photo of it but we declined. Cringey.

Despite an incredibly interesting exterior, there's very little inside the concert hall to appreciate, other than the back yard, as you cannot gain access to the concert halls themselves.
So, unless you come here for a concert, save your time, take a couple of shots from the outside and don't bother with the self guided tour.

Slightly underwhelming. While a fantastic architectural masterpiece from the outside there is not much to see on the inside. There is a free tour that takes you through the building but unless you’re really into architecture it is quite boring and not worth spending time doing. Unless you’re there for a show you can’t actually get access to the main auditorium. The building is beautiful so worth stopping for a photo on the outside. Also if you do spend time there then you can validate parking at a cheaper price which is handy for downtown LA

Aside from the cool architecture, this place is a must if you love classical music. Check the schedule and see what you're interested in. I've been going here since its opening many years ago. Always have a great time here.

Enjoyed a performance by the incredible LA Phil; breathtaking music-making. The building in and out is a work of art. Easy to find our seats. Recommend taking the tour where you learn about the design and construction.
