This place is nothing like the reviews listed. The fees were $130 per person for a golf course that appeared to be burnt badly by the recent fires. There should have been a huge discount to play here. You can still smell the ash.

I'm from Los Angeles but haven't lived there for 19 years. I was there when this whole property was starting to be developed, and I remember there being controversy at the time due to the risks posed to indigenous wildlife, or something like that. So...More

Angeles National is one of the most beautiful venues I have been to. Beautiful grounds, great restaurant and bar, good food, etc. That being said, it is not a course for beginners...very difficult carries off most tees and LOTS of trouble everywhere. That being said,...More

Nice Nicklaus layout, very freeway accessible, but at $125 the course condition was a bit suspect and the front 9 took 2:45!!! After a call to pro shop and talk with ranger, back 9 took just over 2 hours - but it shouldn't come to...More

There is only one Golden Bear and there is only one public golf course he has designed in LA. This is it. Not easy but fair. Not in as good as shape as it was before the drought but really a good test of golf.

Almost gourmet dining in a golf club environment. Great for company dinners or just a nice place to take a date. Exceptional menu and everything I've eaten there was very good.
