Our Santa Ynez Valley winery tasting room offers one of the Central Coast’s most comfortable and comprehensive visitor experiences, including daily winery tours and extensive picnic facilities. Archive photos and other artifacts chart the Firestone family’s pioneering heritage, from turn-of-the-century tire innovation to the establishment of Santa Barbara County’s first estate winery in 1972. The recently remodeled tasting room features an island bar and picture windows that overlook our estate vineyards. We strive to offer an informative and welcoming atmosphere that will appeal to wine enthusiasts and novices alike. Our free daily tours guide you through the history of the winery, and through the production of fine wine from vine to glass. Tours begin at the demonstration cork tree and continue out into the estate vineyards. The winemaking process is then showcased from the crush pad to the fermentation cellar to the barrel cellar. Tours typically last between 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the volume of guests and depth of questions. Tours depart daily at 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

This was our second stop on a three stop wine tasting day. While the property and facilities were beautiful, the wine was not for me. I know different people have different palettes, but there wasn't a single wine on the tasting menu I would have finished a full glass of. We went on a tour, which was... interesting. We learned... Loved the tours inside and outside, especially the history and the grounds. The wine is due to the vintner and owner Bill Foley. The service in the tasting room is awesome. We enjoyed our visit and would go back again.

i'm giving it 2 stars because it is a beautiful winery and our guide/pourer was very knowledgeable. i am not giving it more stars because the guide/pourer couldn't have been more rude if he tried. i've read through old reviews and it seems like people have the same complaint about the same guy. he's an older gentleman with a white/grey... Firestone has a very nice tasting room set up. Its open floor design with enthusiastic hosts was perfect setting for a drink in the afternoon. The wine was not particularly well suited for my taste, a little too flat and earthy, but never the less I had a good time. The winery itself is a dead spot for Verizon, the... More

This winery located in beautiful ground settings you allowed to have a picnic as long you buy the wine, tasting is for $10 dollars but if you buy a bottle for $12.00 the tasting is free, friendly and professional staff there are a lot of tables and chairs to enjoy your picnic with your group.

This is a really nice tasting room (a return visit for us). Lots of room to spend some time with the staff and do some serious tasting. The wines are very good quality with a couple of exceptional choices (you have to decide for yourself, no hints). They shipped our purchases home so we had some nice wines awaiting us... More

My wife and I were very excited about visiting this winery based on its history. When we arrived, we were told that they had lost power two days ago and were adapting to serving their wines outside. (They were the only winery effected by the black out.) That also meant that we were unable to visit their wine making facility... More

The winery has a very nice ambiance and is ideal for a group visit. But when I had a reserve tasting from a middle-aged woman employee, the wine pour was extremely conservative. Unfortunately, this seemed to affect the impression of the wine.

didn't really like the wines but I did buy the rose. the service was very nice and she did a nice job of explaining the wines. she might have suggested we get some crackers or something before she started serving... which we eventually did.
