Perhaps the story of the getty family is more intetesting than the villa and collectables. Some of the rooms had not opened on our visit and the pool was drained. So not quite as impressive as ut could have been.

Lovely gardens and historical museum of ancient times. Spent a couple hours exploring and looking at displays. Gorgeous setting. Make reservations online (free admission), parking $15. Renovations taking place right now.

We registered online and just indicated how many in our party. They sent an eticket to my phone for each person in our group. The fee is a parking fee so you do not actually pay per person.
