Close to LA but it feels like it's a world away. Restaurants, jogging and separate bike paths, white sand beaches and a pier make for an enjoyable visit for all.

This is the best beach in the LA area. If you're visiting be sure to stop by the town, eat in one of the many restaurants, shop, walk the pier and the strand, and swim in the Pacific. The beach is large and clean!

First class beach: Very wide and deep, good sand, a gazillion beach volleyball courts, good surfing on either side of the pier.

40 minutes to an hour. Depending on traffic. Uber is available at reasonable rates. Best to go late morning to avoid rush hour traffic.

Yep, it's called the ocean express. Easy to get tickets; your concierge will have them available.
