Marina Beach,at Marina Del Rey,California has a great "Beach Eats To Go Nights" featuring a number of high end food trucks is always a hit with locals and visitors alike!
One of our favorites is the "Stopbye Cafe" food truck featuring an Indonesian Fusion" style menu that is authentic, fresh and delicious! They have meat, chicken, vegeterian and fish dishes prepared Indonesian style.
Fast friendly service offered by owners,Tom and Justin, and courteous service-quick too!
In a word-delicious!
The whole "Beach Eats To Go"nights are totally social distanced and all cdc safety precautions are exercised for safe eating.
The Stopbye Cafe truck travels to different places all over So Cal so check out their posts to see where and when! Its great to grab some stopbye cafe food and sit near the marina to enjoy it!

Beach was good - just outside our hotel so it was handy. Busy on a Sat but lots of room. A little dirty by the end of the day but we noticed it was being cleaned Sun morning so parks staff is trying to stay on top of it. Nice little swimming area that is shallow for kids.

First, do not confuse Marina Beach with Mother's Beach (which is a total dump). The Marina Beach is lovely. There is a jetty you can walk out on, there is an area to swim and the walks near there are very pretty. It is not breathtaking, like some of our other beaches, but it is very nice.

It is safe and you can bike, walk or drive there. Parking can be a problem but there are spaces for a fee. Drive to the end of Ocean Ave in Venice, turn North and it is at the end of that street, Have a great time.

The Marina Beach has clean sand and looks inviting. Never go in the water. Do not let your children play in the water, simply stay out of it. It is filled with gasoline and oil from the boats nearby, it really has no way to clean itself, and I fear you will get sick.

If you wish to go there for a picnic with family that is perfectly fine. They do have picnic tables and parking is available for a fee. It can get crowded on the weekends.

It is also nice if you just want to take a walk along the sand, but don't get near the water.

You will also find a large homeless population lingering around there. I would pity them, but I really don't feel like buying meth today or any heroin.

This used to be a nice beach. I would have ordered.

Oceanfront alternative in protected cove, some people love this type of contained area while others prefer open beach with waves crashing on the sand. Marina Beach is located within the harbor and near boats and development so the water is not as fresh as the oceanfront.

No one tells you that Mother's Beach is rated F as far as pollution. Look at the oil from the boats. I have been fighting for a sign to warn visitors not to swim there.

Take the Harbor Cruise for a dollar per person at Fisherman's' wharf. Also, Marina Del Ray has a shuttle that travels between the wharf, Venice beach and points in between.

We walked from The Ritz to this beach early one morning and it was lovely. We met another dog and had a play.

I honestly don't want to be mean with my comment, and I am really trying to be polite, so I won't compare any of the beaches of LA to the beaches we have here in Sydney (Australia)... which aren't the best we have in Australia, FYI.

This beach, relatively a stroll away from Venice beach, is a secluded area, primarily used for the Marina (as its name implies) has a few places to grab something to eat, as well as benches, car park, etc. The water is ok, pretty calmed so it is really good for families with kids and what have you, but it is not a tourist attraction.

I had a bit of a swim here, packed my stuff and moved on. Did it basically just to tick the box of places I wanted to get to on my last few hours in LA.

I was not comfortable either as there was a big crowd having a sort of party and they were blasting music all around.

In any case, traveling is expanding your experiences, even if some of these are not remarkable. This one was not the most memory forming experience but at least it was not negative.

Visiting Marina Del Rey, one cannot but notice the largest man made marina in the world. Wanted to see what that was all about, I went onto www.Onboat.co ,which has a very broad collection of top quality charter boats, and rented a captained charter boat, in my case a 44 foot Hunter sailboat . Immediately upon leaving the dock, I had entered into a whole new world. People might find it hard to believe that LA has a great nature coast, with mountains cascading down to the sea, abundant bird life, seals, dolphins, and occasional whales, and Catalina Island looming in the distance.. You can even see snow capped peaks over sixty miles to the east on a clear day.
