Wonderfull, can't miss view. But the loop is only 0.8 km so if you're really planning to hike you should go a bit further to the other parks after a quick stop here at jughandle.

The headlands were a gorgeous spot for our elopement. Despite an overcast day the loveliness of nature shone bright. The Pacific envelops you when visiting Jug Handle. I highly recommend this spot for breathtaking strolls. It's also a great whale watching location.

We didn't spend too much time here but we got some great shots from the beach! The headlands are nice.... We ventured toward the Pygmy Forest but turned backafter going down the stairs-- time i guess, i hear it's amazing though. We were not disappointed...More

This is a lovely spot with picnic tables and walking trails along the bluffs with breathtaking ocean views. On weekdays, it is never crowded and very quiet. I highly recommend you take your camera!

Only made a 30 minute visit, but think we could have stayed longer. we looked for the pigmy forest, but must have made a wrong turn and never found it.

The geology of the area is fascinating, and the brochure takes you on a walk through history which is extremely interesting. It wasn't busy, and gave us a good stroll as well as a lot of information

When we arrived at Jughandle the box for brochures was empty. We nevertheless hiked the five mile round trip. It was a pleasant walk and certainly good exercise, but we learned nothing. When we got back to the parking lot there were brochures in the...More

This secluded park,(not easy to spot when driving) was a great experience due to the attractive cliff walks and the fact that there were only two other people and a dog in the park. Limited car parking space helps preserve the relative privacy of this...More

It's a small beach but don't let that stop you. It's very beautiful and well worth the walk down the stairs. You can either swim, chase the waves or explore the rocks and tide pools on the left.

Agree with drheathr, trail is mostly level and walking speed after the beginning steep decline. However trail map says that it is 5 miles long one way and there is no alternate return route, just one way in and one way out... More

I was at the park for a wedding. We used the trail down to the beach. Some of the steps are irregular in height and position, but it is an easy trail. If a bride can do it in her gown and guests ranging from 6 months into... More
