I shopped here for almost 30 years. I got my first rice cooker there, innumerable bottles of Tiger's Balm, and fresh ahi on Thursdays. Sadly, it has closed permanently.

This was a wonderful store. So sad to see it go. Nothing else like it that I know of in this area. They had so many things that you can't find anywhere else in this area. An the owner an his wife were wonderful. The son did his best and was always kind and helpful.

I am only writing to let readers know that Nak's is no more. I am not sure where the nearest Japanese grocery store but Nak's son had to throw in the towel. An institution that is missed.

I would go into this little store for their little candy treasures! I swear they have almost 10 different flavor of kit-Kats. They are a little pricey but alway worth it, because I absolutely love green tea!

This was an excellent store for Asian specialities. Unfortunately, the owner retired, and his son kept it open for abt. one year. The store is now closed.

It is small but has an enormous variety of Asian food. Sadly it is no longer there. The employees were very helpful and knowledgable

If you are looking for that tough to find ingredient for Asian style cooking, this is the place to go. The owner knows his products and will suggest alternatives, especially Japanese foods. Amazing selection of soba noodles. Fresh produce too (small selection).

This long-time Asian/Dutch grocery store in downtown Menlo Park is no more. The owner's son couldn't make profits operating the small store with high rent and doesn't have sufficient finance to operate an on-line store. It has a Facebook page if anyone wants to run the online store.

Nak's has been in Menlo Park for years; Menlo Park does not have as many Asian and Japanese markets as Santa Clara county does. As such, this very small market serves that "niche" for Menlo Park and surrounding area. For me, its probably a one time visit as there are better Japanese markets closer to where I live.
