Highly recommend this course for a cool experience on a hot day. Great course to walk as the play was slow enough to keep up with the golfers in front of us without slowing down the play behind us. Quiet and peaceful few hours.

Stopped in for breakfast only before heading back to the Bay Area. Warm and inviting host, good coffee and tasty and filling breakfast! I love that the menu had plain old-fashion breakfast options and prices: bacon, eggs, hash browns, hearty omelets, pancakes...( live in the...More

golfers are often surprised when they learn that alister Mackenzie designed this course . . . 9 holes cut out of the redwoods, making it what I once called "the noisiest course" in northern California considering the sound of ball hitting tree . . ....More

The food here is decent, but nothing amazing. I've eaten here a few times and the service is goo, but the food just doesn't quite hit the spot enough to make me go out of my way to come here. The view of the golf...More

Nice course under the redwoods. Very scenic and worth a visit even if you are just a beginner at golf. Convenient location next to restaurant and hotel.

Wow, what a wonderful trip back in time to the old days of golf...we played in the rain and mist under the redwoods, just like Dr M. would have played himself. The course is not difficult but beautiful and easy to walk. We played two...More

Northwood, embellished with redwoods, turkey vultures sail above, nearby the Russian River gurgles its way twelve miles downstream where it unites with the pacific. A 'designer' course, Northwood is where I had my first golfing experience and it was a delightful, albeit a bit frustrating...More

I think this is the prettiest golf course in Sonoma County. The redwoods are spectacular and the course is always in pristine condition. The 9 hole layout is quite a challenge...the redwoods provide quite an obstacle and the course design is extraordinary.

Only a 9 hole course, but you can play it twice if you want to go 18. Lots of redwood trees, very scenic. Restaurant has pretty good food - the milkshakes are really good, and I am told the pie is awesome.

This is a nicely laid out golf course among the redwoods partially along the Russion River. A truly picturesque setting - that can challenge the casual golfer (and even be fun for the newer golfer - which I am!) Also has a small driving range,...More
