Canary row is full of excitement and food. We enjoyed the day walking from shop to shop and eating at a local restaurant. Monterey is a wonderful stop for any traveler.

My kiddo enjoyed the many candy stores, the mirror maze and aquarium. The parking is ok. The food can be great in the right location

Monterey Cannery Row is a popular place for the Tourists, and gets crowded later in the afternoon. Best time to go is just before lunch and hang out for the afternoon, there are lots of places to look around at, and many good places to eat. You can get some decent prices for things if you look around a bit,... More

Every step in this district takes you past a piece of living history. The ocean is the backdrop. Not to be missed.

Crowded streets and lots of tourists. Not a good way to soak up local flavor. Not really worth seeing unless you want to see the commercial tourist trade side of Monterrey. We walked there because it was near the Aquarium.

A great place to visit and look at all the old fisheries/warehouses. Most have been converted into trendy hotels and restaurants. Nice to wander around for an hour or so and there is plenty of wildlife to view in the bay.

This was my first time visiting Cannery Row, and it was a bit what I imagined, with some updates. Some of the older buildings and ruins are really fascinating, and they have modern shops and restaurants as well - something for everyone!

Cannery Row no longer has any actual cannery companies. I think modern refridgeration means that canned fish isn't as popular so the buildings are now shops and restaurants.
