Fantastic! You have to visit Monterey, I cannot wait to visit this place again just beautiful. Take a stroll through old fisherman’s wharf and it’s just super relaxing.

It's fun for a walk through if you're interested in some touristy stuff. There's a lot of high price things that I can't imagine buying while on vacation.

This is a very touristy spot. I mean, it's cool to have shops and restaurants on the ocean but its really dirty and there are hundreds of panhandlers at the entrance - they aren't passive about it either. I have compassion on these people but...More

When you're in Monterey, a very pleasant place to visit is next to downtown within walking distance, the old wharf area has good restaurants and it's quiet. The opposite of Pier 39 in San Francisco, this is a genuine romantic part of Monterey where locals...More

This is a dense area. In high season (roughly May through October) it's over-run with tourists and can be difficult to navigate on foot. I imagine a wheelchair adds an extra layer of difficulty with that. The boardwalk is... More
