I had a great time walking up and down the wharf. Everyone wants you to try the clam chowder to eat in their restaurants. Was able to hang out and watch the sea otters plays around.

The Wharf is full of restaurants and gift shops. You can get a nice view of Monterey Bay from the upstairs deck at the end of the wharf.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. With various souvenir shops and restaurants lining the street this feels more fairground than wharf. It’s pleasant enough in the marina area but not worth a special detour unless you want to do a boat trip.
Much nicer than the Wharf in San Francisco. Pretty, busy, catch a whale watching trip from here and enjoy the views of the many Whales in the Bay.
