Last minute trip, well worth the time & mine. Saw tons or humpbacks, 3 gray whales, dolphins, jellies and some assorted birds. Very clean boat with excellent crew, captain, and biologist. Boat fairly stable, made me sleepy, but there is tons of rocking so if...More

Took the 2pm slot as the original 11am booking was cancelled. However, we were pre informed way ahead so it has allowed us ample time to rearrange our traveling plan. Thumbs up for it. For the trip, - we have numerous sighting of whales. -...More

Nancy Black is the real deal. We had a once in a lifetime day on the boat in Monterey Bay with Nancy Black and her great crew. We saw, up close, a blue whale, humpbacks and great views of a killer whale. We even saw...More

Excellent boat with toilets and hot and cold snacks. Excellent commentary by marine biologist who was a real expert. Despite being end of November saw two blue whales, several humpbacks and many dolphins. Rough sea so glad we took seasickness pills!

Our 5-hour morning whale watching tour was fantastic! This group provides outstanding commentary and their own excitement and passion for whale watching. On the day of our trip, the crew was astonished to encounter what turned out to be 64 blue whales, an unheard-of number,...More

Out just before the Humpback whales move on for their winter migration. Saw 19 humpbacks, seals and sea lions, otters, jellies, endless sea birds, and a porpoise. Capt Scott and the Blackfin crew were helpful and full of information both about the boat, the fauna,...More

Some of my disappointment is my own fault. I had worn a long sleeve shirt and jeans, but no jacket and I didn't bring my binoculars from home. I'm also much more accustomed to river boating without the waves...by the end of the three hours,...More

I also recommend Monterey Bay Whale Watching. They are very knowledgeable. The captains always search for whales and make sure you see a variety of marine life. They have a marine biologist or naturalist on board to give you... More

Each day can be different. You should be able to do a little research a week or so out to see what species are in the area normally. Again, no guarantees about whales. You will see some marine mammals, but whales are the... More
