Had been waiting for years to go on a whale watching trip. Picked this company as I had been following them on Facebook and Instagram and they seemed to be very professional. My son and I were booked on the 9am trip. We both took sea sickness tablets as the last thing we wanted was to be ill. Didn't take... More

A very seaworthy boat, knowledgeable and friendly crew. Dolphins, a sea-otter, sea-lions, humpbacks and an orca were seen on two trips with this boat. If you are a serious whale watcher you will know where you want to stand but be prepared for some very excitable shrieking and jumping about and that's just the adults ! Facilities are basic but... A great trip! We booked onto the first boat out of the day, it seemed less crowded. The onboard staff were great, friendly and informative. We were lucky enough to see Blue whales and humpback whales as well as some dolphins. It was pretty special standing at the back of the boat with my daughters searching for whale spouts...and being... More

We saw 8 whales on a gloomy rough day. The crew were very knowledgable and helpful. The pilot did a great job of maneuvering the boat so that we could view the gray whales and humpback whales that they spotted. The seas got a little rough, but the crew kept things safe and as comfortable as possible. We were on... More

On a beautiful October morning we left the dock on a modern, clean vessel. The staff were excellent, knowledgeable and passionate about their work. Within 10 minutes the sea around us was boiling with a 800 Common Dolphin. It was truly fantastic. We steamed out and saw 8 Hump Back Whales, it was such an enjoyable morning and the best... More

Do not confuse this company with the princess Monterey whale watch company. We used both companies in September and saw whales on both trips, from there any similarity between the companies end. The princess company charges extra to go on upper deck, Monterey whale watch does not. The 4 her trip on princess was more like 3 1/2 hrs, they... More

We went out Jan 1 morning trip and were really pumped to start the new year this way! This was going to be one of the highlights of our trip that we booked two months in advance. Staff was great, like everyone says. Knowledgeable, friendly. We got to the whales in about 30 minutes. There were two humpback that we... More

Viewing from the top of the boat is the only way to go is you want to really see anything, but they charge extra for those seats. The ride was decent as it is a large boat, but it just goes straight out and then back - not much other range for viewing - saw a couple of whales and... More

This was my first and only whale watching trip. The two guys that provided information on board are recent graduates of CSU Monterey Bay in ocean sciences. They were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We saw a pair of humpbacks several times. As we were returning to port, the captain got notice that some killer whales had been spotted. He turned... My boyfriend and I took the afternoon 3-hour tour to see the humpback whales. The seas that day were high and rough, and I always get sick on boats. Took us about 45 minutes at a fast pace to get out to the humpbacks. We saw at least 3 of them multiple times. The biologist on board gave a lot... More
