We stayed overnight in the campground and it was neat. The access to the beach is clean and well indicated! Unfortunately, as we came afoot without any vehicle, we couldn't get any discount for the high rate of 35. The other thing is the location...More

We stayed at a full hook-up site, each site with its own picnic table and gorgeous view of the Beach. This doesn't mean that the other sites are any less attractive, they just don't have hook-ups. The Bathrooms were clean enough, although they do show...More

Beautiful beach but very windy and chilly. The sand is nice & warm and it's a great place for a stop up along the coast for a break.

This beach is a bit quiet compared to some of the others. There is a lot of walking to get to the hard-packed sand. There are endangered birds which nest in the dune grass. You must not walk in any area where you see a...More

Each visit I walk miles a day on the beach, always something interesting to see. Not a whole lot of trash, dogs generally but not always well mannered. Can sometimes see sea mammals.

Morro Bay is not warn. Compare it to Monterey. It can be foggy and windy any time of the year. No matter when you come make sure you bring warm clothes. I speak as an 18 year resident.
