I took my son to ski for the first time!. I choose to take some lessons. Although it was not private lessons, the instructors were amazing, very thoughtful about us (it has been 10 years since I've last ski), but he took special attention to my 6 years old boy! After a few rides on the learning area, we went... More

Mt Baldy is no joke; it get's cold up there. Lot's to do, play in snow, hike, snowboard, ski, it's all available. Amazing snow play place in southern California! Go!

If you go in Jan, make sure you take layers of clothes, including snow boots, gloves or mittens, and a good jacket with a vinnie or hat!

Although snow season is short in Southern California, it is very convenient to drive to Mount Baldy ski lifts. Buy a lift ticket, it takes about 20 minutes to reach Top of The Notch. If weather is permitted, a good place to play snow.

As this was the 1st opening day in a few years we were soooo excited to ski. Powder day, sun and just cold enough. Really good early season conditions and nice to see friendly faces from the past. I met the legendary "Snowy" Joey O'Brian and some of the new staff. Mt Baldy will prevail and we must go there.... More

Went for an event that I had recently discovered called, "The Battle Of The Brews." It started in the Spring, but, I found out about it for the last of the Semi-Finals. The most recent visit was for the finals. The 20 minute ride to the Notch, the restaurant and bar at the top of the main lift, offers a... More

I have done a lot of hiking at Mt. Baldy and there is no shortage of things to see and vistas around every corner. There are multiple ways to get to the top of Mt. Baldy and all have their own distinct beauty. I live in Orange County and this hike is easily the best hiking in the area and... More

Ok I am usually pretty easy to please, but the staff was horrible, unprofessional and rude. Great views and a beautiful place to hike! Food at the restaurant was ok. Best place to buy tickets is Groupon, be sure to sign in online before u get there, no Cell Service!
