Beautiful area to hike or ride. Easy terrain. Nothing too technical. Beautiful in the spring when it greens up from rains. Can be hot in the summer. Decent wild life including coyotes, bobcats, deer, snakes, hawks, tarantulas.

This place is great for hikes, walking with the dog (only on certain trails) and kids. If you can, check out their annual Family Wilderness Day: it is a GREAT event with botanists, entomologists, demonstrations with live birds of prey, and much, much more.

Definitely a must do with plenty of room to not see people. Amazed at the wildlife and just the chance to get out of the city in such a short distance. Will definitely go again!
