My husband and I visit Napa every other year. We always have a such a wonderful time visiting nearby wineries and restaurants. This year was no different. Brynna, manager at James Cole Winery, was an absolute delight. She spent time with us, answering questions, gave us a tour of the place, and provided water and chips for snacking between tastings.... Such a wonderful winery! We came on a rainy Sunday at 3:30 pm and stayed til 5:00 pm. From the staff to the wine to the beautiful barrel room and awesome corvette car parked inside- it was a great experience! Plus Sookie, the wine dog ( our wine hosts dog ) was sweet as can be as well. This is... More

We visited James Cole Winery this past weekend for the first and last time. The only reason we went to this winery was that it was recommended by another winery we were visiting located next door. James Cole Winery a very small winery, which we normally like because boutique wineries are typically more unique and less commercial. We had never... More

Our 3rd trip back to James Cole, and it keeps getting better! Had the opportunity to be served by Dustin, well spoken and knowledgeable about all the wines we tasted. Tried the Chardonnay for the first time, and was wonderfully surprised. Although, judging by the fantastic reds they produce, why should their chardonnay be any different? The Merlot was the... This was our forth trip to Napa but our first time to visit James Cole. So glad we were recommended this wonderful winery! We did a private tasting in their barrel room and were blown away by the experience. The tasting fee is a little high but 100% worth it. You will be given the opportunity to taste some limited... Our very first visit was due to a recommendation by another winery (Caymus) and we are so thankful for that! Since then, about 4 years ago, we came back several times and enjoyed our visits more and more every time. We brought other friends with us as well, every time, and they also loved the wine, the winery and the... More

Small tasting room, great people. On weekends call ahead for appointments! Last night was a great charity event at the winery for M J Fox's foundation with a lobster dinner and great music by Lee Dewayze for a small audience in the barrel room with fantastic acoustics. We were invited because we are winery club members. Something to think about... More

We were on our way to an appointment at 11:00 and we wanted to make a quick stop in to a tasting room on our way up the hill. The night before a few locals asked if we had ever been to this winery. I looked it up and it had A LOT of positive reviews. My hesitation was it... More

On a previous visit to Wine Country, someone we met suggested that my wife and I try this winery on the Silverado Trail. So when we returned in April 2016, we decided to visit this winery on our first day. We're glad we visited. We opted for the Signature Tasting ($30 pp), which we had pre-reserved. We tasted a white... More

Been here before and love their chards in particular but they have many more great wines available. Interesting tasting room with sculpture and panache.
