We had a wonderful tasting with Sammi last week. We spent a wonderful morning tasting a variety of delicious wines from the Paraduxx family, and Sammi was just the icing on the cake. She was kind, knowledgeable, and such fun to be around. Highly recommend to anyone seeking to plan a Napa trip, ask for Sammi! We'll definitely be back.

Our next wine tasting was at Paraduxx, Duckhorn's sister vineyard. There, our wine educator was Oscar. Although the tastings were very good, we were disappointed in Oscar's attention to time. After a couple of introductions of the flight we were going to taste, he disappeared for a long time. About 20 minutes later, he returned and apologized for making us wait. He presented us with more wonderful tastings but disappeared again for a significant amount of time. Luckily, we were in no rush, however, it was quite disappointing from our past experiences with Paraduxx. Fortunately, the quality of Paraduxx wines and the usual culture of the Duckhorn family allowed us to be a bit more forgiving. We did place our order for shipment home as is our tradition. Now we have a case each from Duckhorn and Paraduxx as well as Domaine Carneros heading home to Hawaii.

Thank you for visiting again and for the valuable comments. Connection is everything. The wines always taste better with exceptional hospitality and staff interaction. I have passed along your comments to Oscar and he thanks you for the feedback. Enjoy the wines you brought home with you and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

We’d been to Paraduxx previously and were happy to schedule a visit while showing some family members around who were first time visitors to Napa.
We had a very nice experience. The tasting experience at Paraduxx is super chill—you sit on some couches or in some Adirondack chairs behind the winery’s main building, soaking in sunshine. Wine is brought in stemless glasses on little trays, and you can just sip and enjoy. It was definitely an easy place to relax, and not super crowded given the reservation system.
Our server, Vincent, was kind and funny. He offered some useful comments about each wine and seemed interested in our reactions.
Paraduxx does a lovely rose, with which you start, and otherwise focuses on red blends—mostly big, with great fruit. It was fun to taste various blends and compare and contrast. Overall, some great stuff—we bought a bottle to enjoy later in our trip, which we did!
Would definitely return. A nice experience—affordable, great wine, nice staff, chill experience.

This is the second winery we rode our e-bikes to, so worth it. I had made reservations far in advanced for the Paraduxx Rector Creek Estate Tasting experience: 6 distinct wines from Paraduxx and Duckhorn Vineyards and a Cheese and Charcuterie pairing plate. Upon arrival we were greeted and seating in a beautiful open back yard setting. Our tasting room host introduced himself and started our tour of the grounds with a tasting. We had a nice short tour of the estate and then sat down for a relaxing hour of sipping and snacking. Great afternoon spent before riding back into town.

We love it here. We won a silent auction triple tasting here, at Duckhorn and at Goldeneye. Miguel & Oscar were both super friendly, knowledgeable and fun to talk to. We learned a lot about the wines in a casual friendly atmosphere. We have been here twice and both times were 5 star.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Paraduxx is a wine we have at home, so after our plans got detoured because of fires that closed off Silverado Trail on Friday- we made a stop at a favorite.
We were greeted with great service and were so grateful for the accommodation as walk-ins. We were able to get a flight tasting and sit on their patio. Despite the 100+ degree temps this past weekend- the breeze was beautiful off the vineyard. We love Paraduxx and so glad we were able to visit the space.

Started out good with the wines and info. Then our host never came back to follow. Not sure how they sell much wine that way?? We waited over 30 minutes after our last pour and she never came back so we walked out. Likely would have purchased a bottle or two had she just come back.

We recently took a tour and made dinner reservations for 12 at the Paraduxx winery. Our annual group had loved the winery tour and wines when we visited a few years ago (some of us are wine club members), and so we decided to return. What a mistake.
Our tour guide was lacking in knowledge, professionalism and customer service. During our tour, our guide presented herself as an immature amatuer. She did not seem to possess adequate knowledge to explain the winemaking process of the Paraduxx winery, nor did she answer our questions with plausible answers.
The chef and dining experience were good, not fantastic. Our guide was unfortunately pouring our wines. At one point, she uncorked a bottle and did not examine it before she poured our table. Several of us took a sip and immediately spit out. We were shocked to be served a bad bottle, which smelled and tasted like turpintine! In response, our guide mumbled something about getting another wine and disappeared for 45 minutes. Sitting with our dinners and empty wine glasses in front of us, we wondered if she had driven elsewhere to get us a reserve bottle as an apology. No such service...she reappeared 45 minutes later (we timed her), no explanation, no apology, no reserve wine, no reduction in our cost...nothing.
Although the food was good, I would not recommend dining at Paraduxx. Very expensive, and, we were charged "insurance"(!!!) to dine on the site. Our guide forgot to include a souvenir gift that was included in our package. Quite frankly, at this point, I don't want any reminder of this latest experience at Paraduxx anyway. We won't be returning to Paraduxx ever, and, they lost several of their loyal wine club members that night.

Love the way they do tastings. Take a seat out back and they'll bring you a tray of every wine on the tasting. Let them explain each briefly, then enjoy at your own pace. I wish every place did it this way. Wine was fantastic!

On a recent pilgramage to the Napa wine country, we happened upon Paraduxx off of Silverado Trail. The snappy little tourists we were, we grabbed some good photos of the vines & grapes and then headed in. While the outside was fairly unpretentious, the inside decor and architecture certainly elevated their upscale nature. The greeter was actually a little high-brow, and showed she was somewhat put out that we didn't have reservations, but accomodated us anyway (slow tourist season, or something like that!). At that point in the day, with 4 wineries behind us, we really didn't care - we were having too much fun.
She instructed us to have a seat outside, and a hostess would be out shortly. We found some comfy chairs on the spacious grounds and soon our hostess was greeting us and extremely pleasant. Actually, she was great. She presented the flight order, other info about the wines, and then took off to bring us the wine, with some tasty cheese and crackers. Personable and extremely knowledgable, she described everything perfectly and made the visit. While all blends, I was very happy we happened on this place. The wine was some of the best we'd tasted to date - not just in Napa. She also expanded our tasting to three other wines that weren't on the flight! We really got happy there, as their high tasting fee and lack of taking that off of a purchase didn't go over too well, but we still came away with half a case.
All in all, we'll go back (with reservations this time - maybe... we don't like schedules when we're tasting), and definately order off their website when we run out at home.

Hi there, Yes we are family friendly. We ask that children stay with the parents at the table though. If the weather is nice we do have a grassy area outback that is kid-friendly as well. Thanks!
