About
Trinitas Cellars was born in 2003 from the guiding belief of the Busch Family that with family, faith, and perseverance, anything is possible. These values have illuminated their path to, and successes within, world-class resort hospitality. An industry where success is measured by the happiness and memories you inspire in others. With Trinitas Cellars, the second generation of the family hopes to inspire the same in wine enthusiasts. Our goal is to craft wine that’s so compellingly delicious, that the joy it brings creates a window in time where worries are melted away, virtues are celebrated, and life is savored. Tasting Room will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas.

Racist manager refused to seat me and my family even thought I am a wine club member AND I had a reservation!!!

My family drove 5 hours from SoCal to Napa and had just checked in across the street. We decided on a whim to do a tasting at Trinitas, as a wine member, I figured they would be nice enough to seat me if there were space. I walked in, saw that they were only about 2/3 full with plenty of empty seats, and asked if we could do a tasting. They informed me those empty seats were for guests with reservations, and I was turned away.

I went outside, looked online, saw there were available reservations, made the reservation, came back in, and was told immediately they had already told me they would not serve me, please leave. I explained to the hostess that I had just made a reservation (for the exact current time of 4:30 pm). Then the manage Scott came out, so I tried to explain again that I have a reservation now. But before I could even finish saying that he whistled at me! Whistled! In that same manner you’ve seen in western movies when some racist hill-billy whistles to a black man, implying “Now shut up and you listen, boy!” And suddenly I looked around, and some other guests and my own kids were staring at us, and I felt completely embarrassed by the scene. I’ve only felt this way a few times in my life as an Asian American, but this time was the first time I’ve experience such blatant racist gesture as a full grown adult with a family in tow, with my kids watching. He then repeated in a louder voice, just like a cop asserting his dominance “I don’t care. I already told you I’m not taking you, so I’m not taking you.” My wife (caucasian) who could not believe what she just saw, then stepped in and said “Did you just whistle at my husband???!” I was speechless at this point. This level of humiliation is something completely new to me. Scott ignored my wife's question, and repeated himself even louder. Needless to say, I took my family and walked out.

I have since requested to terminate my wine membership from Trinitas. I would recommend anyone who does not wish to be treated as a 2nd class human being by Scott and his staff to avoid Trinitas like it was a southern plantation from a century ago.

We went to the tasting, which was really good. However, we found out the next day after the next tasting that someone in our party was allergic to the tannins in red wine and we needed to change our order. We tried calling and emailing them for days with zero response. They did finally respond after the fourth email and three calls, after they shipped the wine four days later. We cancelled the order all together due to the lack of consideration and cooperation. Then they tried to blame us for not contacting them sooner! I literally told them that I had the emails send starting the night of the tasting! All I wanted to do was change it solely to the Chardonnay. I would never do business with a company that doesn’t follow-up with emails and phone calls in a timely manner, causing an inconvenience for the customer without any regard for their causation due to a lack of business acumen.

We did a library tasting at Trinitas which if we had scheduled it ourselves it may have been ok. It was however a bit of a challenge to arrange. We had signed up for the 11:00 a.m. Trinitas Estate Tasting which is what we wanted. The winery called our home phone and left a message a couple of days before. We returned the call the next day and they said they wanted to make a complementary upgrade if we were willing to do a 10:00 a.m. library tasting. We agreed - although we would have preferred sleeping in and going at 11:00.

We asked where we should show up for the 10:00 a.m tasting and they said the winery. So we went over there and the concierge told us we were wrong and we were to come back at 11:00. (Note: There was no winery people at the winery to ask as the place does not open until 11:00.) So why did they tell us to show up here?

I tried to explain and luckily the tour guide found us and took us to the tasting which is across the street from the time share room and not in the wine cave which is what we wanted.

We were also supposed to get the upgraded library reserve tasting at the same price as our original tasting as we made the change based on their request. Well - our guide would have nothing to do with that and charged us FULL PRICE when we were both doing what we did not ask for. He also complained about the number of people at the tasting, which was 10. He said usually library tasting is 4 or less people - so wondered why there was so many at the 10:00 time. Well - duh - did the scheduler not tell the winery tour guide anything???? It was also 4th of July so that may also be the reason it was busier.

So this BAIT and SWITCH is something to avoid at all costs.

While the cheese platter was delightful, and some of the stories were good, the wine is average and high priced for average wine for Napa Valley. In short. we enjoyed drinking wine early in the day, but did not buy any bottles due to the quality.

I wish we had our additional $$$ back - for going out of our way to do what this winery wanted.

There are many more exceptional wineries in Napa Valley and if they ever offer you a bait and switch and say they will charge you at the lower price - beware. They won't. They will tell you you are wrong when you show up where they tell you too. And they have not informed any of the Meritage concierge people that they usually do a 10:00 a.m. library tasting. If they did, I am sure the concierge would have asked if we had the library tasting and directed us to what to do. (Note: The winery is behind the pool area at the Meritage property for those who go go to the wine cave; if you are doing a library estate tasting, they take you to a nicely decorated office building.)

Overall, the library room was nice; the cheese platter was ok; the wines were average and too high priced; and the communication among the staff members is poor.

However - if you are friends of the winery owner (several of the people at our tasting were), they were treated with much more courtesy than we were. So, if you are wine club members or friends, its ok. For others, I would just go to the winery when you want to and not bother to decide what tasting you want or time you want to do your tasting. Its a bit too much work and confusion to make a reservation at this winery.

We were staying at the resort and went to see the new tasting room for Trinitas Cellars. Its a classy tasting room that is part of the Village group of tasting rooms, which are on the resort property. As someone staying at Vino Bello (part of Meritage Resort), we received a complementary bottle of wine.

This is an outstanding event. We have celebrated New Year's the last two years by dining in "the cave" at Trinitas Cellars. The food is superb ... well organized, service is excellent, and the event is a fun time by all. I highly recommend this event.

Any trip to Napa should include a visit to the Trinitas Wine Cave at the Meritage Resort.

I was introduced to this family owned business when bringing clients to experience a unique tasting in an impressive environment. The friendly and knowledgeable staff, delicious wine sourced from their own vineyard as well as surrounding appellations, kept me coming back again and again. I joined their wine club on my second visit!

Today my husband and I had another wonderful experience with Ed and Ayed, two of our favorite sommeliers, who over the years have kept us in the know about what we're tasting, as well as sharing laughs and keeping our guests entertained.

They take wine seriously at Trinitas, but not SO seriously that it's a pretentious and condescending event to showcase how many different ways the staff can say "fruit forward," "chewy tannins," "buttery," or "earthy" in describe their wines! ;)

If you are looking for a REAL wine experience with honest recommendations based on your taste visit the folks at Trinitas between 11-7 daily.

If we had not been driven to Trinitas by our tour guide, I doubt we would have bothered trying to find it inside of the Meritage Resort. I am so glad she took us there! It is a small tasting room, but comfortable. We had an excellent tasting of five delicious reds. Our friends did the wine and chocolate pairing, and said was excellent. Our favorite wines were the Zinfandel and the Mysterium. Be sure to ask about the Cabernet Francis that the family presented to the Pope.

We visited Trinitas Cellars over the New Year and had a great time. We attended the dinner and wine event in the caves. The food was offered by the Meritage Resort, and it was superior. Service was excellent!

We also visited the library for a private tasting and found that experience remarkable ... I highly recommend it.

The New Year's Eve party was excellent ... although the band was not very good. Most everyone danced to the DJ during the breaks the band would take.

It has decent wine but the ambience of the cave was the glowing feature. They have created a nice tasting room and experience but why replace the cave? That is a character that few wineries share. It distinguished Trinitas making it unique and special. I miss it and wonder why they no longer use it, even for the pick-up parties....

We have been members of Trinitas for some time now and love this winery and their festivities. Yesterday (Sun. 8/26/2018) we were invited to the open-air concert with "Royal Jelly Jive" and an opportunity to hang out in the Busch Family Suite. Everything was absolutely fantastic (as always) ... the new tasting room is very nice, although we still loved the cave.

We highly recommend Trinitas Cellars
