Saw the review from the Boy Scout troop that had recently been here, and I don't know what I'm missing or if something has drastically changed....but....it's ALL Pirate Cove "resort" with $45 parking lot w/e sites semi-near some water (not the river, just a dumpy inlet) or $15 dry camping in a truly terrible parking lot right next to the... Went here with Boy Scout troop for a canoeing trip. Good deal for youth groups, $3pp per night. Plenty of tent camping space. Arrived late at night on a Friday, 24 hour guard let us in and checked in Saturday morning. Tent camping is on the inlet, not on the river, river is for RV camping and more expensive. Lots... More

Wow, the water temperature is a bit warmer in the channel to the river, loved it. We launched our boat from here on our way to Lake Havasu. The launch ramp is excellent with several lanes and multiple docks. The beaches at Pirate Cove have soft sandy beaches and great atmosphere.

Tatoo'd Receptionist was not friendly. Not enough people to check in visitors. Bad first impression. Gated entrance is confusing to first-timers.

We visited for a few days and brought our boat with us. We marveled at how clean the area was. The water was calm and you could see down to the bottom of the river. I can't imagine how crowded it is in the middle of summer, but there were very few people there when we went. The water was... More

Don't waste your money or time here. We tried to have a quest long weekend and got bombarded by drunks and ATV's, with management that didn't care.

We do a lot of dry camping but if you're going to hook up, this is the way to do it. Adorable peninsula's along the river for 4 or 5 RV's on each site. All with river views and beach access. Lots of ATV, sand-rail, Jeep trails. Restaurant stinky but cute and food is yummy. There's a store, cute cabins... More

I loved staying at Pirates cove Resort. Lots to do or nothing to do. Beautiful nature, on the Colorado River.
