My family rented a condo on Adams Street for a week at Thanksgiving and thoroughly enjoyed the entire area. The area near the Fun Zone is very good for both adults and kids, as the Zone is modest entertainment for kids and the shops and bars and restaurants are good for the adults. But the big hit is the proximity... More

We went to Newport Beach during the late afternoon hours for happy hour and to watch the sunset on the pier. It was lovely and gorgeous to watch it set behind Catalina Island from the pier!

Newport Beach is on the pacific highway and easy to find. Plenty of parking available. The sandy beach and rolling pacific waves are breathtaking. The ocean stretches as far as the eye can see and is lovely and clean. As we visited in November we didn't get into the water. The sunset was a treasured memory Highly recommended Newport is... I am so in love with Newport Beach. It is so beautiful always. As a teenager we'd go to that beach often, and now that I am older and live out of state -- I ALWAYS go there at least twice a year to walk on the sand, walk in the water and collect sea shells and watch the Surfers... More

We stayed in Newport for one night in October 2016 and it was awesome! We ended up walking to Balboa Island - which is not advisable as it took us forever to walk. I think it took us over an hour. If you plan to walk from Newport Beach/Pier to Balboa, definitely rent bikes! It's something everyone does and is... More

We love Newport Beach. Had a fun day exploring, shopping, eating, soaking up the sun, watching the waves crash, people watching and more!

While Newport beach is nice, Huntington beach has so much more to offer. Newport has a few hot spots like fashion island and various restaurants, but you need a car to get around. In Huntington just park your car along Main Street and enjoy the restaurants, bars and beach, all within walking distance.

We did Davey's Locker whale watch tour and enjoyed it. We also walked around beach and Main Street areas. We ate at Ruby's at the end of pier which was good. There is free parking in residential areas. Watch no Parking signs which are different days in different places for street cleaning.
