if you look at travel times only Boreal is closer to Folsom than Sugar Bowl. Boreal is not even close to Sugar Bowl in terrain. Sierra Tahoe is actually longer trip time from Folsom, Kirkwood is way out there. and Sugar Bowl has great skiing...More

Its a lot of fun taking the gondola in to the old resort, it feels very nostalgic. The resort itself is in need of an upgrade, but super cute. Good restaurant with mediocre hours :)

Great local resort for skiing. The snow in Feb 2017 was CRAZY!!! It isn't crowded, pricing is fantastic. And easy to get to from Reno. I would love to see this place in the summer. Beautiful views.
