I live in Novato and play here regularly. If you're looking for an excellent golf outing in Marin County try IVGC. The course is interesting and challenging but not impossible. It's well maintained and quite beautiful with very little evidence of habitation. (I don't like houses on golf courses) Nice friendly bar for a post game drink is another plus.

Played this track fairly early in the am in February, rather a brisk morning but great regardless. Only one solo golfer in front of me and no one behind so had the opportunity to play my own mini best ball. They had been experiencing a ton of rain so the course was quite saturated and the ball had virtually no... More

The setting is very nice and a lot of it is in the trees. Many of the adjoining counties, including Marin, Sonoma, Solano have courses where you bake in the sun. Holes are interesting, and it's reasonably priced. You don't have to take a second mortgage. If you're a long ball player, just go to the back tees and you'll... More

This is a challenging course with its unique slanting fairways, undulating topography. Greatly improved over the past couple of years, better greens & improved tee box placement. It's a course you can regularly & is never the same.

Beautiful setting against the Marin hills. Local treasure. Wonderful pro (Felix). Good breakfast and lunch. Kids programs in the summer. Wonderful place overall.

As a result of all the rain the previous weeks the course was in great condition but it also kept us on the cart paths. The course has substantial grade changes, lots of trees and great valley vistas. Had we not been playing with a local we could have become easily lost as directional signage on the course is minimal... More

This is our favorite golf course in Marin County, just north of San Francisco. Views of Stafford Lake reservoir, wildlife everywhere, challenging and interesting holes on the course. They have really spent a lot of time and money improving the tee boxes, the greens, the fairways, the drainage, etc. And you can't improve on the views, just beautiful, especially from... More

This is my home course. It is a great course to walk and get in some great exercise with open vistas and great scenery while playing a well maintained and well groomed course. The first hole is a quite challenging par five with an ominous tree in the middle of the first fairway that you have to go over or... More

This is a challenging course due to the topography. There are many blind drives, which can be distracting, both driving and in bound, once on the fairway. There are usually plenty of deer, rabbits and geese (watch your step). It's a very tough walk but fun to play.

This is one of my favorite courses. It is hilly, beautiful and challenging. The food at the clubhouse is good.
