We parked next to the museum by chance so popped in for a bit of local history.

Excellent stop for anyone interested in the cowboy history of "The Cowboy Capitol of the World"! When you finish there you can mosey over to the favoured watering hole of the locals, the H-B Saloon (that's pronounced 'H bar B' for you non-cowboy types!)
If you love horses, beautiful old saddles, and cowboy and rodeo nostalgia, this place is for you! I loved learning about the ranching history of Oakdale and the beautiful life size statue of a cowboy and his horse just outside.
Interesting museum about local rodeo/ranches in the area. Some great saddles that were won in competition over the years. It's a small museum but very interesting for a local history. Donations
