The one thing that we noticed immediately is the entry through a low door into a low ceiling and darkened tiny bar. The home of Jack London is now a well-trafficked historical sight of the famous author. Stay for a drink or not, but at...More

This cabin is one that Jack lived in in the Yukon territory when during the Gold Rush. Many years alter an enthusiast went there, "authenticated" the cabin and had it moved to the Oakland dock area. They only brought back half the building materials. The...More

This is little more than just an old cabin that now serves as a bar. It was a favorite hangout of Jack London's for many years. There are a few trick passageways inside so expect to have someone sneak through one to surprise you.

For any and all fans of Jack London's, this is a must see. It is also a good visit for kids to see how people lived in byegone days. It only takes about 10 minutes - if that, so plan to take a peek when...More

I used to find it strange that this cabin was located here on Jack London Square until I learned the history of it. Jack London, a famous writer, traveled to the wilds of Yukon Territory to prospect for gold during the Klondike Gold Rush of...More

I wouldn't make a point of going to the waterfront just for the Jack London history as it's a bit dull though interesting, Strolling the waterfront and stopping for a meal, made it more worthwhile, but for London buffs a must. And, there's a giant...More

of historical merit. if you like the works of jack London and know a bit about his life, then this musty old cabin is worth about 10 minutes of your time if you happen to be near the port of oakland

It's small, it's locked (no way to get inside) and to me, the most shocking thing was to see that cabin from Alaska under massive palm trees - that makes it look completely out of place.

Tiny, tiny, tiny log cabin. Moved here from the Alaska to show the place where Jack London lived. Just don't plan your whole visit around it, as it just takes a peek to see the whole thing!

I have visited this particular cabin a few times. The cabin itself is really quite small. Its actually smaller than the picture! However, it is a local/tourist/historical curiosity point and should be visited whenever someone tours the Jack London Square. Keep in mind that despite...More
