Every time I've taken a ferry it's solely because it's so much fun, while as a local resident I have taken San Francisco's cable cars to get from one place to another. In good weather, a ferry ride is just delightful with its panorama of...More

We took a trip to San Francisco. It was perfect weather. The ferry boat is not cheap but worth every penny. The view was amazing. Very smooth ride.

Wheather we are going to The Pier 39 area or to the SF Ferry building the trip has always been a pleasant trip. The ride is quick and relaxing.

The crew were great. They were knowledgeable about the sites. Would recommend this ride. We couldn't go to alcatraz because it was booked, but this was second best.

For will out time, great drinks, good finger foods and eclectic finds, I recommend Jack London Square. I enjoyed the views on the benches, leisurely walking and stopping at the cafes! Lots to see and enjoy.

Trip was on time and was definitely worth the visit! Not a lot to see apart for the “Rock” speciality shops and some interesting restaurants! That said the ferry named Samona should be pensioned off, its old, tired and not a great advertisement for San...More

From Oakland, Alameda, Vallejo, Larkspur and my favorites: Tiburon and Sausalito, you can't get a better value than the San Francisco Bay Ferry. If you are staying in the city, you can "ferry" (our new verb!) over to Tiburon for lunch or Sausalito for an...More

Search San Francisco Bay Ferry for ferry schedules. Ferries leave the Ferry Building and Pier 41 (near Pier 39 and Fisherman’s Wharf) and go to Jack London Square. If your goal is a ferry ride, search Golden Gate Ferry. You... More

I have never taken the Larkspur so I cannot answer. Living in Oakland I am partial there but getting to Marin and San Rafael and then Angle Island, the Larskpur works better I believe.
