Saddleback Cellars, established in 1982, is a small, rustic winery located in the heart of the Napa Valley in the Oakville appellation. Its estate vineyard produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Zinfandel.

Known as "The King of Cabernet," legendary winemaker and owner, Nils Venge, has been making stellar Cabernet Sauvignon, along with many other varietals here since its establishment.

Saddleback has long made killer Cabs and Zinfandel but variety is our specialty! We like to produce fun wines for fun people, including Pinot Blanc, Albarino, Vermentino, Sangiovese, Syrah, and many more. If you have a sweet tooth be sure to ask about our Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel.

Please give us a call and come in for a tasting! Feel free to picnic on tables alongside our Pinot Blanc vineyard, enjoy some good old country music, and experience Napa the way it used to be .

Come have fun the Saddleback way!

This was our first exposure to Saddleback wines. Wow! The wines were great! Actually unbelievable! The Chardonnay is so crisp and light bodied. It was creamy but not heavy. It was delicious. We bought some!! The Cabernet Sauvignon was sooo smooth. We bought some! The tannins were silky smooth. Whatever you do..plan a trip to visit Saddleback. If not, try... More

Each trip we look to find the smaller producer that excels. This trip it was Saddleback. Nice low volume selections available only at the vineyard. Price points in the middle and a laid back atmosphere creates a fun stop. We suggest the Zine.

My husband and I had SO much fun at Saddleback. Our guide suggested the spot not knowing we enjoy listening to country tunes. Bob did our tasting and was funny, friendly and gave us a great education. We also liked that it appeared to be more of a working vineyard (albeit we were there in the off season). Made the... More

Our driver recommended this to us on a whim. So glad he did! When I imagined Napa, the is what I envisioned. Breathtaking setting and lovely wine. We could've spent all afternoon there relaxing in the vineyard and tasting their wine. Chloe, the winery dog, was also a huge hit.

We had such a lovely tasting at Saddleback sitting under the trees, C&W on the radio and Chloe the winery dog lazing about with us. Would definitely recommend a visit... we liked it so much we bought a couple of bottles to stow away in our luggage!

Yes, the tasting room feels like your cousin's basement or garage. But it is awesome and the wines aren't nearly as marked up as other places. Great experience, highly recommend for a low key tasting experience. Right across from Silver Oak, which is kind of a funny contrast.

We decided to visit a few boutique wineries while visiting Napa. Saddleback Cellars was fabulous. An intimate western atmosphere surrounded by wine casks. And, by the way, the wine was excellent. I found out I actually do like red zinfandel. Waiting for our wine order to arrive back home!

We had the BEST time at Saddleback Cellars! This was the first winery we visited after my fiancé JUST proposed to. Michelle went above and beyond to make us feel special! She even went as far as secretly calling the bed and breakfast we were staying at to let them know the news so they could have congratulatory flowers waiting... More

Wine was ok here but we had a fabulous time outside at the picnic tables next to the winery. Definitely one you need to try! Our server was friendly and made the time there fabulous!

We visited Saddleback Cellars while on the Napa bike tour. What a find! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, great wines, great location. Our tasting was done outdoors with tables under the shade trees overlooking the vineyard. We loved the wines. It was a very enjoyable experience in a perfect vineyard setting. I highly recommend this as a "small" winery experience.... More
