Miner Family Vineyards is a dynamic family owned winery tucked into the eastern hills of the Oakville appellation, squarely within the heart of Napa Valley. Founded in 1998 by Dave & Emily Miner along with his folks Ed & Norma, Miner is defined first and foremost by a sensational portfolio of wines, wines consistently characterized by and committed to individualistic style and uncommon quality. In only a few short years, Miner has identified, sought and secured a number of California's finest vineyard sites to produce and showcase a wide array of varietals. Each wine is crafted in a style to encapsulate the distinctive elements and the indelible fingerprints of their respective vineyards. This combination of excellent vineyard sites along with passionate and thoughtful winemaking injects the necessary components for creating profoundly joyful wines.

We visited Miner Family for the Cave tour and tasting in early December. I think our guide was John but I can’t recall for sure. Doesn’t matter. He was excellent. We had one of our group who only drank Chardonnay and Miner accommodated him separately from the rest of us who drank all of the wines they poured. The tour... More

The wines were nice. But the staff seemed to have no interest in sharing their knowledge about the wine. In fact, one man poured the next glass and said "this is our pinot" and walked away. No eye contact, no smile and no engagement or passion about their wines. So the customer service was a disappointment. Nice view though

We enjoyed a leisurely afternoon on the patio doing wine tasting at Miner Winery. The views are nice. We found it interesting on the way they kept track of where we were on the tasting list was by having different shaped glasses for each wine we tasted. We tasted Iliad, Napa Valley White Wine 2012 Chardonnay, Wild Yeast, 2013 Pinot... More

This spot was more out of the way but still close enough to main strip. Views were beautiful, staff was extremely friendly and our tasting was great. We wanted to tour the cave we read about and our host had no problem giving us our own little tour. Great stop!

One of our favorite stops along the Silverado Trail. Great, friendly, and informative staff. The selections of wines for $25 was solid: a couple of whites and a couple of reds. The view was awesome from the 2nd floor tasting & patio. Highly recommend a visit!

We were with a very large group. They brought us to a very large tasting room where they sat all of us at a beautiful wood table. Our host was fantastic and very knowledgable. Tasted several wines -- views from the terrace were spectacular!!

Dropped on her after visiting 2 'stuffy' wineries. Pleasant surprise. Being from South Australia we are used to friendly cellar doors. Abbey from Miner Family was awesome. Well done. Highly recommend a visit to this winery. Fab outdoor area, good wine tasting.

Nice terrace for their tasting and very hospitable staff. They have a huge selection of wines that they sell, but they are not our favorite.

What an awesome, hidden gem my group and I found at Miner Family Vineyards. Some Napa wineries can be so stuffy but the second www walked into Miner we felt so comfortable and welcome. Fun vibe, cool music and amazing and helpful staff...especially Pete H. His passion and knowledge for what he does is truly remarkable and made our group... More
