Miner Family Vineyards is a dynamic family owned winery tucked into the eastern hills of the Oakville appellation, squarely within the heart of Napa Valley. Founded in 1998 by Dave & Emily Miner along with his folks Ed & Norma, Miner is defined first and foremost by a sensational portfolio of wines, wines consistently characterized by and committed to individualistic style and uncommon quality. In only a few short years, Miner has identified, sought and secured a number of California's finest vineyard sites to produce and showcase a wide array of varietals. Each wine is crafted in a style to encapsulate the distinctive elements and the indelible fingerprints of their respective vineyards. This combination of excellent vineyard sites along with passionate and thoughtful winemaking injects the necessary components for creating profoundly joyful wines.

The most laid back, down to earth winery of our stay. Great 80's rock playing in the tasting room. Nice deck to to tastings as well. Ask to take the tour of the caves when you go there. All the barrels are in the caves. You really need to see them. Each taste of wine is served in a different... More

I've been to many many winery tours and dinners. This is a small winery, quaint and frankly adorable. I have never been to a winery dinner that wasn't like most weddings, rubber chicken at best, either in Napa or Tuscany. We had a conference with14 of one of our divisions. The meal (outsourced to a catering firm) was great! The... More

WOW! Dinner in the wine cave with all the great wines flowing. Who could ask for more. This was quite an experience with about 150 of our new found friends. I wish I could have friends over to my house and set the table in a well-lit, beautiful cave with wine barrels lining both sides! Check out the Miner Family... More

We are not experienced in wine tasting etiquette. They made us feel so comfortable and the wine tasting fun. We came to buy Miner Wine we had enjoyed at a private home and wanted a few bottles to get back home and it was worth the tasting, the wine, and the beauty of sitting out and enjoying the beautiful view... Great wines, very welcoming staff and unlike many wineries in Napa, no appt needed for their tasting room. Cassie did a fantastic job with our tasting, so much so that we became wine club members! She is a real asset to the tasting room.

A reservation to enjoy a tasting here would be usually worth USD 30 per person. I would suggest though to confirm if the local tourism office can provide a coupon or two to obtain, maybe, a discount or free tasting. Having said that, the experience offered by Miner is one of excelent wines, engaging staff members and a killer view... More

In the 700+ wineries to pick from, this is a pass. Miner Family makes some great wines including Oracle and some great Pinots that we like. This review is on the winery. The two times we have been here, it has been a party. This time around, the tasting room staff seemed a bit young. I am all for good... More
