While I do find this waterside center charming I had anxiety almost every time I went there to order and get food to go. We were staying very close by and this was the closest place for us to get food to bring back to the condo. It was a holiday weekend and the place was very crowded and most people were without masks on. All of the restaurants were allowing outdoor dining and one of them was packed and had long lines waiting to get in. I do understand that these businesses are just trying to make a living but unfortunately most of all the rules are being defiantly broken, the crowded restaurant even had up notices stating it was a peaceful protest that they were defying the rules.
We had Groupons and gift cards purchased prior to our visit and the location was great for us. Our last visit here was on a weekday around dinner time and very few people were around.
Once things are safer I would recommend visiting this place or when it is during the week when it is slower. One large restaurant that was away from all the others, even had indoor dining and bar service.
I must state that during this pandemic we have not eaten at any restaurants, only to go orders or delivery even we dining was allowed. At the time I was getting food to go restaurants only were allowed food to go or delivery.

They were having some kind of a weekend festival which we didn't know going in. The place was a traffic snarl and we finally found a parking spot. After a moderately long walk we found the place. The usual eating joints and touristy shopping.

Spent the morning down at the Harbour looking at the hundreds of boats moored up and the stunning views. With easy parking and coffee shops and restaurants available. Worth a visit every time.

Come to the Harbor Village, eat at one of the many restaurants, walk the walkway all around and see the boats and then stop to observe the sea lions hanging out on the dock. The nearby beach is also lovely.

Harbor Fish & Chips, gift shops, Rockin Baja Grill and marina views. A nice place to walk and see the boats.

I love wandering around Harbor Village. I would tell you my favorite place to eat, but I kind of love them all. If you have kids, you absolutely must pop into the sweet shop.

This marina is so awesome! Just a locals place set aside for some tourists to enjoy! Kind of lost in time from all the hussle and bussle of the big marinas of Long beach, Newport and San Diego. A true treat to just breath and enjoy!

I was totally surprised at how nice this little village is! I've started coming here on a regular basis to stroll the beach, chat with the locals, and have a bite or a cocktail... or both! There's several restaurants and funky shops, whale watching charters, and lots and lots of pristine beach.

Do they have surf boards for rent near the harbor?
Written June 25, 2019
Whitlock Surf Experience rents surfboards and I always see their shuttle headed down there for lessons, but check with them to see if they drop off rentals too. Worth a look.
