Very nice beach, near the pier was no swimming and surf only. Lifeguards permanently going back and forth making sure people stay in the designated areas for swimming. Shells are hit and miss, lots of beach combers. The park was nice for kids, there was...More

The beach is quite nice . The surfing is pretty decent and for the most part it is safe. After sundown I'd probably head back to your hotel as I've been bothered before .

Less crowded than Harbor Beach, this is a great place to just sit on the sand and watch the surfers ride the waves. Smooth, not rocky, sand. Close to the pier and parking

I grew up at this beach. It has restrooms, a kids playground and lots of grass to get off the sandy beach. Lifeguard during the Summer season. Easy access along the South Strand...

This beach is on the Strand and has a grassy park and playground with restrooms beside it. Many people pitch their armadas at the park and lay on the grass. The beach has been getting more rocks of late.

This grassy park is big enough to play catch with your dog, kick a soccer ball around, or use the play equipment. It is right at the bottom of Tyson Street, where it meets The Strand.

Great beach -- slightly away from the Pier and the mob of tourists. Good place to surf and just hang out.

We took the Coaster train here from Old Town on a Saturday. It was great to avoid traffic and parking! Fun people watching and wave jumping here. Walk out on the pier and watch for dolphins surfacing. Genuine Hawaiian shave ice too!
