I get my water bill and there is a nice picture of the creek alongside the park, but in reality, zoom out a bit and there are homeless camps with trash everywhere, even in the creek. The park side has homeless passed out on the...More

Sewage smell, very little sand left and tons of holes in the water/surf. Not so great for kids who want to use the beach. Ok park with a few sketchy characters and the algae filled sewer creek that abuts the park does not add the...More

When we were there this winter the barrista let us know that the hours were flexible pending the "vibe" of the day and the weather. So many times we walked by and the coffee house was closed, but when it's open, the coffee and view...More

Buccaneer Park is always alive with activity! There is a lovely playground for the kiddos. The grass area is big enough for several groups to play separately. Often see frisbee, football practice, dog play etc going on. On the outer edge along the walking path,...More

The sand here at this beach just looks nasty. It is really dark - almost black. There are mainly rocks on the little swath of beach here and they are really uncomfortable. This was not appealing at all - crowded, cold, and hazy. Would not...More

Little local hidden gem of a park; climbing ropes, tilted merry-go-round, swings, spinners, etc... Best for little kids.

Buccaneer Park is a little park right off the ocean. It has restrooms, things for kids to climb on, birds, and a coffee shop open mornings for breakfast and conversation. Depending on the tides walking the beach either direction is a possibility.

Not many playgrounds offer an opportunity to feed the ducks at the same time. Because this pleasant (and well maintained) park sits on the edge of an environmentally protected stream, it is home to ducks and other feathered occupants. There is a large covered area...More

Buccaneer Park is right across the street from the ocean. The park has a large parking lot used by park and beach goers. The Buccaneer Cafe is in the same parking lot.

There is a cafe for lattes or snacks and a nice playground for children along with a grassy area for picnicking . It is near a creek that has a slope and is not super safe so I'd be extra watchful with small children. Parking...More

Not sure how many bbq in the park but did see people tailgating and having parties/picnics in grassy areas. Even saw a wedding reception there.
