The Dick Smith Wilderness and the Sespe is a huge area of utter isolation in a very bust state. The creek is relaxing in a Zen way and the entire area is a great relief from the crowded life that surrounds it. Well worth the...More

Follow the creek to the waterfalls. Or perhaps simply enjoy the oak trees and wild flowers. Great place for a short stroll or a longer hike. Bring water and a picnic.

Anyone can do this one. The whole trail is long (8miles), but we only did the portion to the white rocks which is about 2.5 mile round trip. So you can choose which way to go, there are lots of options with nice views.

What a great hike. It was a little off the beaten path and somewhat of a hard hike, but well worth it.

I drove to the Sespe Wilderness (Los Padres National Forest). I hiked to Mutah Flat. It was a gorgeous spring day. I love this area. It is so amazing that land like this is in southern California. I took a 3 mile hike to an...More
